Point Shop Items 'Per-Member' Redemption Limits
Merchants now have granular control over Point Shop item availability with the ability to cap redemptions on an individual member basis. This prevents single members from over-redeeming high-value rewards and ensures promotional items are distributed fairly across the customer base.
What's New
Per-Member Redemption Limits: Added a Redemptions per member toggle and numeric input field to the Redemption Limits section, allowing merchants to restrict how many times an individual member can redeem a specific item independently of overall item limits.
Independent Capping: The per-member limit operates independently from the overall total inventory limit, allowing merchants to configure either restriction or combine both on a single item.
-
Redemptions & Limits Overview: The main Point Shop items table now includes read-only Redemptions and Limit columns, giving merchants an at-a-glance view of the current redemption count and total cap set for each item.
Customer-Facing Tools
Import Members: Faster Setup, More Control, and Dry Run Preview
We've upgraded Import Members to make it quicker to set up an import, give you more control over how member records are handled, and let you review the expected changes before anything is applied.
What's New
Automatic field mapping
Common fields such as First Name, Last Name, Email, and Phone are now matched to your file's columns automatically. Each mapping uses a searchable dropdown, so you can quickly find a field or change any automatic match.
-
Import strategies
Choose how the import should treat your member records:- Import new members only: adds members who don't exist yet and leaves existing members unchanged.
- Update existing members only: updates members who already exist and skips new records.
- Import new members or update existing members: adds new members and updates existing ones in a single import.
-
Optional date format
Date Format is no longer required. If your file has no date fields, select None / No date fields to avoid unnecessary date validation errors. -
Dry Run
Preview the outcome of your import before applying it. Dry Run shows a high-level summary and detailed results, so you can spot issues and fix your file in advance. -
Clearer actions and result files
- Review Import results is now Dry Run.
- Skip and Import is now Import.
- Result files are now named after the file you uploaded, so they're easier to find and match.
-
Improved experience
We've also refined the layout and on-screen text throughout the import flow to make each step clearer.
ComoOne: Easier Setup and Longer Sign-In
We've improved the ComoOne setup flow to make it faster to get started and keep you signed in for longer.
What’s New
Easier-to-reach Start button
The Start button is now larger and sits next to the Como logo, away from the edge of the screen. This prevents it from conflicting with device gestures, such as opening Control Center on iPad. You can also tap the image to start.
Pick your Branch ID from a list
After you enter your API key, ComoOne loads your business's Locations automatically. Instead of typing your Branch ID, you can now search and select it from a list, shown as Branch ID · Business Name.
- Already know your Branch ID? Type it into the search and select the match.
- Can't find your Location? Select Unknown Location at the bottom of the list. Sales from this device will still appear in your main dashboard. To link them to a specific Location, create the Location in the Locations screen, then select it here.
Stay signed in longer
ComoOne now keeps you signed in for up to 14 days of inactivity (previously 3 days), so you won't need to sign in again as often.
Friend Referral: Faster Sharing and a Clearer Welcome for Invited Friends
We've improved the friend referral experience for both the member who invites and the friend who joins.
What’s New
Share in fewer steps
On the Friend Referral page, members can now copy or share their referral link and code right away, with no extra "Share Now" step.
A clear welcome for invited friends
When a friend opens a referral link, the sign-in screen now shows:
- Your brand logo.
- A "You've Been Invited!" header.
- The referral code they were invited with.
From there, the friend can download the app or select Continue on web to sign up in the browser.
How to set it up
The welcome screen uses your existing settings in the Hub:
- Invited Friend Welcome Message
- Registration Form Sub-Headline
To show the app download button to invite friends, turn on Show app download link
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue on desktop where users could not select eGift Card designs by adding left/right navigation arrows and mouse drag support to the personalization carousel.
- ComoOne fixed an issue with entering small amounts (such as $1) and the screen jumping when the keyboard opens
- Wallet Pass show/hide did not follow the configuration
- Excessive backend log volume in production
- Calendar widget is not being translated in the Hub Polish settings
Multi-Channel Communication
Business Country Restrictions in Hub (Messaging)
Introduced Hub support for merchant country restrictions, allowing authorized users to limit SMS and WhatsApp message dispatches to approved geographic destinations.
What’s New
-
Automated Payload Generation: When the feature flag is active, the Hub automatically includes the allowed country list in all message send payloads based on the merchant's configuration:
Single-Country Mode: Passes the merchant's default configured business country.
Multi-Country Mode: Passes all selected countries from the merchant's multi-country settings.
Error Handling: Added clear UI feedback when a message dispatch is rejected by the server due to a blocked target country.
Activate Messaging Country Restriction feature flag under Features & Add-ons to activate destination enforcement for the merchant.
Stronger Protection for SMS Verification Codes
Before a one-time verification code is sent by SMS, the member's phone number is now checked against the countries allowed for the business. This helps block fraudulent SMS requests and keeps verification codes going only to valid numbers in approved countries.
What's New
- Phone number validation: Each phone number is checked to confirm it is a valid number before a verification code is sent.
- Country rules on the phone number: Country restrictions now apply to the member's phone number itself, so they are enforced more reliably.
- No impact on existing members: Members who are already registered keep signing in as usual.
Note: Members who enter a phone number from a country that is not allowed for the business will not receive a verification code.
Bug Fixes
- fallback sms content when it detects Unicode U+200B
Connectivity
Toast Online Ordering Integration [Beta]
Toast Online Ordering lets restaurants run their own online store for pickup and delivery, using their existing Toast menus. With the new Como integration, members can earn and redeem loyalty benefits when they order online, the same way they do in the restaurant.
What's New
- Identify with a phone number: At checkout, customers enter their phone number to identify as members.
- Earn rewards automatically: Members earn rewards on online orders.
- Discounts at checkout: Eligible discounts are calculated and applied before the order is placed, and the order summary shows them.
- Redeem loyalty benefits: Members can use their benefits on online orders.
- Synced orders: Completed orders and applied deals sync between Toast and the member's Como profile.
How to Activate
To activate, contact Support and ask them to turn on Online Ordering for the business in SmallTool.
Bug Fixes
- Member imports were failing for birth years before 1947.
The validation logic now dynamically calculates age thresholds based on the current calendar year instead of relying on a static cutoff.
Data
[Beta] Chat with your Data (Available for defined Beta merchants)
Updated the "Chat with your Data" AI assistant with key usability, data export, and session history improvements. Responses are now more direct, date handling is explicit, and users can export raw query results or reload past conversations.
What's New
Direct & Faster Responses: Replies lead directly with the requested answer, avoiding unnecessary preliminary disclaimers, date warnings, or upfront narrowing prompts.
Explicit Date Period Formatting: Automatically specifies exact date boundaries for relative terms (e.g., clarifying calendar month vs. rolling 30 days vs. month-to-date) to ensure context clarity.
Smart Next-Step Suggestions: When a query is too broad, the assistant suggests specific ways to refine it (by date range, location, or product) rather than arbitrarily truncating the time period.
Plain-Language Missing Data Explanations: Replaces unexplained "N/A" outputs with plain-language explanations detailing why a specific value is missing or inapplicable.
CSV Data Export: Export up to 5,000 raw underlying records directly to CSV. Member list exports include membership keys in the first column for quick use in campaign activities.
Localized Formatting: Dates, numbers, and currency values automatically adapt to match the merchant's configured Hub locale settings.
Conversation History & Retrieval: View, browse, and reload past chat sessions complete with timestamps and titles to pick up right where you left off.
Feedback & Quality Controls: In-chat thumbs-up/down icons and written feedback options allow users to rate answers and support ongoing accuracy tuning.
Configuration & Access
Enable the Chat with your Data feature flag under Features and Add-ons.
Click the dedicated AI icon in the global top bar across Data & BI pages, or access via the Chat with your data button and prompt bar on the Main Dashboard.

Classic & Custom: Direct access to legacy Looker views and custom merchant reporting.
Campaign Analysis: Direct link to the dedicated Campaign Analysis view.
-
5 Newly Migrated Dashboards: Replaced legacy Looker views with native Como UI components for the following 5 dashboards:

-
Performance & UX Improvements: Native rendering provides faster load times, unified export options (PDF/CSV), and a consistent UI experience across all 15 native dashboards.
How to Configure
Enable the Dashboards V2 feature flag under Features and Add-ons.
Navigate to Data & BI -> Dashboards in the side navigation bar to access the New (Beta) view or switch to Classic & Custom.
Data Maximization for Push and Email
Looker now has more data for Email and Push campaigns. Merchants can see which links members click in emails, which devices and email clients they use, why emails bounce, and how many push notifications are delivered and opened on each platform.
What's New
-
Email Click Information: A new group of email fields:
- Target Link Name and Target Link URL show which links members click. Merchants can compare links in the same email and find the best- and worst-performing calls to action.
- Device Family, Device Brand, Is Mobile Device (Yes / No), Operating System, OS Version, and Browser show the devices and email clients members use to click.
- Email Bounce Information: A new group of email fields. Bounce Type (hard or soft) and Bounce Reason show why emails were not delivered.
- Push delivery and opens: New # Push Delivered and # Push Opened measures show how many push notifications reached members and how many members opened them.
- Push by platform: Merchants can split push results by iOS and Android with the new Push Delivered Platform field.

Location Screen: Show Location Tags as Badges
You can now show your Location tags, such as "Drive-thru" or "Delivery", as badges on each Location's screen in the app. Members can see what each Location offers at a glance, without you changing the Location image.
What members see
- Each Location's tags appear as text badges under the distance line, next to the Location image.
- Badges use your app's existing button colors, so they match your branding automatically.
- When a Location has many tags, the badges wrap onto more lines. Very long tag names are shortened to fit.
- Locations with no tags look exactly as they do today.
- Right-to-left languages are fully supported.
How to turn it on
- Go to Content > Layout > Locations (NEW).
- At the bottom of the page, turn on Location Screen - Show location tags as badges.
The setting is off by default. When it's on, all tags of each Location are shown on that Location's screen.
Good to know
- Badges use the tags you already set on each Location (the same tags members use to filter the Location list). No extra setup is needed.
- Badges are for display only and can't be tapped.
- Badges appear once members update to the latest app version. Members on older versions will see the Location screen as it is today.
Forms and Surveys: Character Limits for Open-Text Questions
You can now set a minimum and maximum number of characters for open-text questions in General Forms and Surveys. Shorter, focused answers are easier to read and analyze.
What members see
- A character counter under the answer box (for example, 12 / 60).
- A short hint when a minimum length is required.
- Typing stops at the maximum. If a member pastes text that is too long, it is shortened and they are told.
- Members can't submit (or move to the next step in a Survey) until their answer is within the limits. Optional questions can still be left empty.
- The counter and messages are available in all supported languages, including right-to-left languages, and work with screen readers and accessibility settings.
How to set a limit
- In the form editor, add a new question to the same form.
- Set its Location visibility to Hidden.
- Title it with the exact title of the question you want to limit, followed by the limit. For example, to limit a question titled "Tell us about your visit":
- Both limits:
Tell us about your visit-limits-min_char=5#max_char=60 - Maximum only:
Tell us about your visit-limits-max_char=60 - Minimum only:
Tell us about your visit-limits-min_char=5
- Both limits:
Good to know
- The question title must match exactly, including capitalization.
- Limits apply to Text and Text Box questions only.
- If the limit title isn't valid (for example, the minimum is higher than the maximum), the limit is ignored, and the question works as before.
- The hidden limit question is never shown to members. It appears as an empty column in your form results.
New Look for Right to Know / Data Portability and Consent Withdrawal
The privacy screens in the app have a new look. The new design is cleaner and easier to read, so members can see more clearly what each request does and what happens after they submit it.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed the reCAPTCHA issue on mobile, showing a better error message, and enhanced the reCAPTCHA scoring.
- Added a new close button to the new WebView app
- Fixed the catalog image cropping issue
