Email Pixel Tracking Consent lets merchants ask members for permission before tracking pixels are used in marketing emails. Members who give consent receive emails with tracking enabled. Members who don't give consent still receive the same emails, but tracking pixels are not applied and their pixel-based engagement data, such as email opens, is not collected.
Merchants can respect each member's privacy choice and still use a single email template for everyone.

How it works
- Consent per member: Each member has an Allow Email Pixel Tracking preference, managed the same way as Allow Email.
- Automatic check at send time: Before each marketing email is sent, each recipient's consent is checked.
- Members with consent receive the email with tracking pixels.
- Members without consent receive the same email without tracking pixels.
- Change history: Every consent change is logged with the date and time, the source, who made the change (a user or the system), the previous value, and the new value.
Note: Turning off tracking does not stop emails from being sent. Members who don't give consent still receive eligible marketing emails, as long as Allow Email is on. Their opens and other pixel-based engagement are not included in email reports.
Add the consent field to the registration form
- Go to [TBD menu path] > Registration Form.
- Click + Field and open the More tab.
- Select AllowEmailPixelTracking.
In the Enable email tracking consent? window, click Enable and save.
What members see
Members see a checkbox labeled Allow email tracking pixels, with this description:
I agree to the use of tracking pixels to measure email opens and engagement and to personalize communication.
On registration
New members can give consent when they register.
On the Update Profile page
Members can give or withdraw consent at any time from the Update Profile page. The email footer can link to this page, so members can change their choice directly from an email.
