1. Introduction
Transform your Customer Portal into an engaging, dynamic hub that showcases the true value of your brand. The Homepage Configuration tool lets you deliver a personalized welcome experience the moment members sign in — putting their reward balances, tier status, and earning progress front and center. Seamlessly match your portal's look and feel to your exact loyalty strategy, highlight exclusive benefits, and curate key components with an intuitive drag-and-drop builder.
To configure, go to Business Profile > Customer Portal > enable Homepage Configuration setting > Click Save at the bottom to save the configuration.
2. Landing Page & Default Redirect Behavior
Enabling Homepage Configuration alters how members navigate upon logging into the Customer Portal:
2.1 Automatic Default Page
When the Homepage Configuration setting is ON, members land on the Homepage immediately after logging in:
When the Homepage Configuration setting is OFF, members land on the page selected via the Make default redirect after login setting upon logging in (Rewards page, in this case):
2.2 Mutual Exclusivity with Page Redirects
The Homepage Configuration setting is mutually exclusive with any other feature's Make default redirect after login setting.
-
Turning Homepage ON: Automatically turns off any previously active Make default redirect after login setting on other portal pages.
-
Turning Another Redirect ON: If the Homepage is currently active and you enable Make default redirect after login on a different feature page, a modal pop-up prompts: "Turn off Homepage Configuration? Homepage is currently on and is where members land after login. Making this the default startup page will turn Homepage off. Continue?"
⚠️ Important note: Clicking OK turns off Homepage Configuration entirely.
3. Loyalty Scheme Selection
Merchants can select one of three loyalty schemes under Choose your loyalty scheme to align the homepage experience with their active campaigns:
- Points → Rewards: Members accumulate points with each purchase to exchange for set rewards.
- Points → Tiers: Members accumulate points to unlock progressive tier levels offering enhanced benefits.
- Visits → Rewards: Members receive a stamp/visit credit for every visit, redeemable after reaching a specified target count.
3.1 Impact on Component Availability
The selected scheme determines which widgets appear in the Component Visibility & Order section:
-
Points → Rewards and Visits → Rewards include 5 standard widgets: Greeting, Progress Indicator, Available Rewards, Additional Information, and Recent Activity.
(See Section 4: Component Visibility, Re-ordering & Widget Settings for detailed information).
-
Points → Tiers includes an additional 6th widget: Tier Benefits.
(See Section 4.6: Tier Benefits for detailed information).
