How It Works
First Transaction
When a member makes their first identified transaction (with Phone number, email, or other identifier available in the loyalty program) and uses a credit card for payment, Como automatically links the specific card to their profile.
Ongoing Transactions
From then on, all transactions made with that card are attributed to the member’s profile, even if they didn’t identify with their loyalty account.
Multiple Cards
If a member uses multiple cards, any new purchase made with these cards will also be linked to the same profile (assuming they identified with their loyalty account in the first transaction.) This will ensure all points are accumulated correctly.
Data-Driven Insights
The program continuously analyzes transaction data to offer tailored promotions and rewards, enhancing the member experience while driving engagement.
Setup
1) Merchants need to make sure that they using Heartland or Global Payments processing.
2) Enable dedicated flags in POS & Connectivity under API Keys:
- Allow Payment Token Collection: this enables the ability to collect payment tokens for segmentation purposes.
- Allow Payment Token Linking for Loyalty Identification: enables the ability to identify member based on their payment token that is linked to their profile.
3) 3) Enable a dedicated dashboard under Features & Add-ons >> Data >> Tokenization
Notes:
- Card-based segmentation works across all locations, the same token will be generated at each location.
- Users can link how many cards they want to their account, they need to identify any time they want to add a new card.
Card-Based Segmentation Dashboard:
A dedicated dashboard under All Dashcorads, allows the merchants to measure the impact of using card segmentation tokens. The merchant can filter metrics by Member/Non-Member status, date, member status (Active or Deleted), purchase status (Completed or Cancelled), and whether an identification token is included in the purchase.
